Pastor Gwilym Francis form Wales was Part of the Bible Pattern Fellowship and produced the popular Bible study article called “Collage corner”. I have included a sample of one of his studies on this website near the bottom of the page entitled “The New Testament Church A Divine Masterpiece”. If more interest is show I could include more studies in the future by Pastor Gwilym Francis.
Pastor Francis was the author of a book entitled “The World’s Next Great Event”
In this book Pastor Francis has set forth with clarity and simplicity the salient features of the cardinal truth of the Christian faith. In a masterly manner he recounts the signs pointing to the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. Dealing with each characteristic sign in its turn. Showing it’s bearing on prophetic Scriptures and revealing the attitude of the true child of God in the mist of the present and future times
Pastor Francis was called in 1956 to become the Director of Studies at Seattle Bible Training School, (now called) Seattle Bible College Washington. He was held in very high regard for his assistance in Bible training you may recall from a previous article about Southsea, Portsmouth Jubilee Bible pattern Church October 2013 I wrote Robert Mercer was a very studious man and his friend, Pastor Gwilym Francis, reported that when they were sharing a room at Conferences, Pastor Mercer would often keep him up until the early hours debating the Scriptures. Pastor Francis wrote the book “The World’s Next Great Event” and took the Millennium School view whereas Pastor Mercer was General Resurrection, General Judgment School and yet they were great friends.

My Children have been asking some question about the aspects of the future such as the beamer seat (the Judgement seat of Christ), the judgement at the Great White Throne, The Marriage supper of the Lamb etc. I appreciate that there are different school of thought on this subject but as we are approaching the last of the last days when sound teaching is becoming harder to find on these subjects I hope this may be of some help to you.

ReplyDeleteDear Pastor and Mrs Lacy. I have just been updating this site and saw your remark. My Parents held Pastor Frances in very high regard and said he was a great blessing to the leadership and the members of the Bible Pattern Church. In recent years I have been kindly given some of his written material which has been a great blessing as you were to my family whilst you were our pastor at Ilford. I was less then 10 but have some happy memory's including being in a back room of the church and being amazed at a pair of trousers you had hanging up with the shoes attached to them which you used for baptismal services. My Father Roy, went into the ministry and was the pastor of a Pentecostal church in Bournemouth before being called home. My mother Lyn now over 80 is still alive and I will let her know you have been in touch. You may remember us attending Ilford The Simpson family with 3 children. We had come to you from another Bible Pattern Church after my Grandfather Pastor Frances Thomas sadly had to leave The Kensington Temple. On behalf of our family, Thank you for all your pastoral care and ministry whilst we were at Ilford. I trust you will know the Lords Blessing as you continue to serve him in the days ahead. You might have noticed I wrote a post on Friday, 4 October 2013 on the Ilford church (if you use the blue bar on the right hand side and click on 2013 you should be able to find it).
